Donnereign Joi av en Isbjorn, NA, HT

Female
Samoyed
born 4/13/95. AKC Registered Name: Donnereign
Joi av en Isbjorn. My name means Joy of a
Polar bear in Norwegian (Joy
is in French, however, like my Grandfather &
Mother). Donnereign is the kennel name of my
Breeder, John Donner. I am doing the Dog
Show circuit with my
humans, working towards my Conformation Championship
by earning points if the judge thinks I best meet
the AKC
Samoyed Standard.

I passed my Canine
Good Citizenship and have been Therapy
Tested and Herding
Instinct Tested (HT).
Here is my new house for outside, some call it the "Crystal Palace". But it does allow me to see everything going on - inside & out - and still stay dry. It was custom made out of acrylic.

Career:
Claim
to Fame - I am part of an Ad campaign for Orphan
Medical which released in January 1997 the first
antidote for antifreeze
poisoning for dogs. : )
The name of the product was Antizol-Vet TM.
It is now only available for humans as AntizolTM.
I didn't get paid for the 3 photo shoots, but I got
to go to work with my human about once a week! My
picture will be mailed to Vets & be published in
some Veterinary magazines. I'm the cute white dog
being hugged by a little girl. The bad news is once
the product was available for humans, they have
removed the Vet version from the market.
Activities
I've tried and liked include Agility,
Herding, and Sledding. All of these have been
clinics sponsored by the local Samoyed Club, S.A.M.S.
I am in Intermediate II Agility classes at Twin
Cities Obedience Training Center and been in some
trails. It is so much fun, but I sometimes go too
fast and miss my contacts! The contact is where I am
suppose to touch the bottom of an obstacle to show
control.
This was a few years ago when my half brother (Karhu)
& I were in a Sled Dog Race, all the other teams
were Malamutes - so we won the red-lantern for
bringing up the end! This annual race is sponsored
by the local Malamute
Club.
My
littermate brother (Taxi)
and I await the start of a race.
Here
I am with my brother and sister-in-breed.
I
love little people. They throw my ball and I bring
it back to them. I can even understand when they
tell me to sit. The best is when they give me treats
or drop food under the table! Then when we get
tired, I make a nice pillow for them.
